Hair today, gone tomorrow

It’s happened…Mum has given me a haircut!! She said it was getting too long, too matted and that I looked like an old man. But I know she just wanted to test out her (rather new) grooming skills.

As she’s only been grooming for a few months, I thought it would be best if I really did give her a challenge. You know…just so she could get the full experience.

So…I kept following the clippers with my head when she was running them all over my body, trying to lick the blades, and maybe play bite her hand a bit. Hee hee. I also made a number of attempts to eat the scissors, oh, and to jump off the grooming table.

At the end of the day, Mum definitely agreed that I’d set her a proper challenge. Ah, one aims to please 🙂

Anyway, check out the before and after pics below. I actually love my new look…it’s easier to squeeze through small spaces and to jump over the sofa. Also, everyone we meet thinks I look like a proper puppy now, so the number of strangers trying to cuddle me has rocketed. Bonus!!

Did you miss me?

Hey folks, I’m back. Sorry it’s been a while, but being such a famous hound, I have so little time to myself now. Yeah, I wish. One day. Yes, one day, someone will talent spot me…just you wait.

In preparation for that day, I’ve had a smashing haircut and have been doing LOTS of exercise. Mum even took me back to the doggy pool. It was awesome:

Bordoodle swimmimg

Yeah, I could go off by myself, but Mum has only been swimming for 30 odd years, so she might need my help. I’ll stay close to her.

This brings a whole new meaning to joined at the hip…

And afterwards…

Tired Bordoodle

Yes, this really IS me lying down quietly. Captured on camera for all you unbelievers to see!

In other news, I recently spent a week on a lads’ holiday (at home with Dad) cos Mum had to go to Singapore for work. We ate rubbish and stayed up late. Dad also let me on the sofa…brilliant!

I did manage to pick up a bit of a cough from all the midnight partying, but now I’m back on top form. In fact, I’ve been feeling so good lately that I’ve been helping out loads more round the house…gathering up laundry, making sure there are no tea towels left lying on the counter, cleaning bowls and plates, draining coffee cups. You name it, I’m your man.

Brown eyed boy

So, on Friday I went for my first haircut. Mum took me over to Manston where Auntie Julie the haircut lady lives. Molly was also getting a trim, but even though she was there to watch my back, I still had to keep a very close eye on the four massive (6 inch high) chihuahuas. Man they were scary.

Anyway, Auntie Julie muscled me on to her trimming table and Mum held me still while Granny fed me sausage. Now, I am the handsomest bordoodle on the block – and I can see even better to steal things. Life is great!

Oh dear, the time has come…

No, not for that special little operation at the vets (he’s got about another six months or so until that needs doing), but for something equally scary. Hector’s first haircut!

And here’s why…
